Hi friends! Alex Digger here.
We’re back for another book club meeting in my virtual clubhouse. I hope you’ll pull up a bean bag chair, grab a bowl of snacks (maybe a parent or two!), and settle in because this month’s guest is one of my favorites!
Our storytime guest is Ella Shine…who doesn’t even exist! How’s that for a neat trick?
Actually, we have two guests who work together to make up the author Ella Shine. Their real names are Penny Reeve and Cecily Paterson.
Together, they write the Pet Sitters series, a hilarious string of adventures following two human girls on their quest to run a pet sitting business.
They are “helped” by a slightly-fussy, somewhat-magical talking cat named Gus.
(Again with the slightly-fussy cats! First it was Bigs, now Gus…I’m telling you, dogs are the superior species.)
Penny and Cecily will read the beginning of Gus’s adventure for us. Then, we’ll have a chance to ask questions. After that, we’ll do an activity together!
To end our storytime, my author lady will pick a kid at random from our clubhouse guests to win a free copy of Gus’s first book (Gus Makes a Fuss) and a free copy of my first book (Case of the Robbed Recipe).
We hope to see you there!
