Alex’s Book Club: The Backwards Kitty by Trista Shaye

Join me for a story in my clubhouse!

Hi friends! Alex Digger here.

I have some exciting news: I have a new virtual clubhouse. It’s super cool…it even has a snack bar! I would love for you to come visit. We can play games, enjoy a special storytime together, and lots more.

My clubhouse is in a virtual space called Gather.town. You’ll need to create an account to join (it’s free!). You’ll also need a web cam if you want to participate in the games and activities. Make sure you ask your parents first…in fact, you should bring them with you! The more, the merrier.

Special Storytime Guest: Trista Shaye

Our storytime guest is Trista Shaye. She wrote a bunch of books about a barn cat named Big. Big is very curious and just a little bit bossy. (Like another cat I know!)

One day, a strange cat shows up on Big’s farm. He doesn’t know his name, or where he’s from, or how he got there! It’s up to Bigs to solve the mystery before life as he knows it changes on his peaceful farm.

Trista will read the beginning of Bigs’s adventure for us. Then, we’ll have a chance to ask her questions. Important questions like, “How did you meet Bigs?” or “What happens in the mystery next?” or “Do you think aliens invented pizza?” After the questions, we’ll do an activity together!

Free Books!

To end our storytime, my author lady will pick a kid at random from our clubhouse guests to win a free copy of Bigs’s first book (The Backwards Kitty) and a free copy of my first book (Case of the Robbed Recipe).

We hope to see you there!
