I have been a busy beaver (some might say a frantic beaver!) for several months. I’m working hard to get some great virtual programs ready for your young readers during the month of May, when we launch Collar Cases #1-3 into the homeschool and Christian family community.
Being a writer is a lot of work. Most of it involves tasks and skills many people don’t even realize are part of the job description.
If you know me, you know I have chased after this career from the beginning. I was blessed to be one of those kids whom God saw fit to show clearly and early what I was designed to be. The road getting here had unexpected twists and a few wrong turns, but the destination was always clear.
Is your child the same way?
Do they stay up late at night, reading? Do they constantly carry a notebook or digital device so they can write a little more each time there is a moment of quiet?
Are they interested in story structure or captivated by character? Do their imaginations astound you?
If so, it would be my tremendous honor to invite them to a special event.
I’m leading a virtual workshop titled “Called to Write: Thoughts for the Young Christian Writer.” It’s designed to speak encouragement, advice, and inspiration into the hearts of Christian kids who know, deep in their bones, that writing is their future.
The workshop is hosted by LEAH (Loving Education at Home). They are the largest Christian homeschool organization based in the state of New York. They promote homeschooling as the scriptural design for education and believe it’s every family’s legal and constitutional right to pursue as desired.
Any family (regardless of home state) is welcome to register for $10.
(If you happen to be a member of LEAH, it’s $5!)
You can register at this link: https://leah.regfox.com/virtual-spring-workshop-called-to-write. After registering, you’ll receive an email with a Zoom link to the workshop.
Once again, the workshop takes place on Friday, March 18th @ 10 am EST. If you have any questions about the workshop content or host organization, you can reach me at amanda@jtrumpower.com.
